Begin the day by leaving devices at the door and enjoying a cup of tea and light breakfast as you explore the house and garden. Then, gather in a Circle to welcome the day, create a community altar, and explore the themes of our retreat and set your personal intentions.
An uplifting morning yoga class will ground you in the body and open the pathways to greater awareness. Breath practice and meditation will guide you deeper, followed by time for reflection, intention-setting, and journaling.
A fresh, healthy vegetarian lunch will nourish and get you in touch with your senses. After lunch, enjoy some rest-and-digest time as you choose.
After lunch, we’ll head out for a meditative forest walk, practicing Noble Silence as we reflect and connect with nature on the trails of beautiful Carkeek Park (approx 3mi easy to moderate hike, around 90 min). When we return, we’ll pick up our journals to reflect with some inspiring prompts and meditations, while refueling with a refreshing, healthy juice tonic.
Finally, enjoy an extended practice of restful Restorative yoga followed by Yoga Nidra– a deeply relaxing meditation designed to restore the body and help you crystalize your vision for yourself as you move into a new season. A final closing Circle of integration and gratitude will send you home feeling renewed, refreshed, re-inspired, and supported– ready to step back on your beautiful path with a sense of purpose and an open heart.
A note on Noble Silence: Although the Forest Walk is the only part of the day during which we’ll officially practice silence, participants who wish to deepen this practice may choose to practice silence for the full day, beginning after our opening Circle and ending with our closing Circle.

Cancellations made on or before April 30 will receive a full refund, less a 15% processing fee. No refunds or credits can be given for cancellations made on May 1 or later.
Price accommodations cannot be made for anyone wanting to participate in only a portion of the retreat. Arrangements to arrive late or leave early must be made in advance and do not affect the price of enrollment.

This retreat will include a lot of outdoor time in nature. Please prepare and dress accordingly for changes in weather. Refunds or concessions cannot be made in the event of inclement weather.
This retreat must have a minimum of 5 participants to run. In the event that minimum requirements are not met, full refunds will be offered to all who have paid.
About the Location
Treetrunkwise Home Studio is a quiet private residence nestled near the south end of Carkeek Park at the north end of the Greenwood & Crown Hill neighborhoods. A small house with a beautiful, spacious backyard garden, this quiet and private setting is home to a variety of birds and wildlife, as well as beautiful trees, flowers, and fruiting plants offering something to admire in every season. Separate “pockets” in the backyard create semi-private areas for relaxing or meditating, while a stone patio offers a perfect setting for al fresco dining. Inside, the house has a small yoga and healing studio, equipped with plenty of props, and a small bathroom and kitchen with modern, comfortable updates. Cozy and welcoming, this space invites you to relax and feel at home the moment you step inside. “At home” really means just that… after all, this is my home… Welcome.
About Your Retreat Host
Rachael Sage Payne is a yoga and meditation teacher specializing in mindfulness and energetically-healing practices for the body, mind, and spirit. With over 500-hours of training and hundreds more teaching, Rachael is an adept guide into the subtle realms of the psyche and the mind-body connection. Emphasizing the practices of awareness and exploration, she offers students and clients creative and relatable ways to connect more deeply with themselves. A practitioner of a number of healing arts, including Reiki, Aromatherapy, Tarot, and Sacred Ceremony, Rachael’s passion is in creating sacred space for others to step safely into and in which profound work can be done through simple techniques.
