Aromatherapy

Rachael holds a Certificate of Aromatherapy from the (East West) School for Aromatic Studies. Aromatherapy is the use of pure botanical essential oils for the purpose of healing. True essential oils are purely natural and plant-based and contain no synthetic ingredients or fragrances. Plants, fruits, and resins naturally contain essential oils, which give them their beautiful aromas as well as their inherent healing properties. In addition to their many applications for healing on a physiological level, essential oils have been found to have profound healing effects on the psyche and emotions via the olfactory system. This system is deeply connected with our lower brain, memory, and sense of well-being, and working at this level can effectively bring about shifts in our state of mind, allowing us to feel more calm, relaxed, grounded, connected, awakened, inspired, positive and clear.

What can I expect from a Treetrunkwise Aromatherapy Consultation?

My work with aromatherapy focuses on the subtle and energetic applications of essential oils, rather than the physical or medicinal applications. During your consultation, we will explore mental and emotional energies which may be creating blocks in your life journey and overall wellness picture, and determine which areas would most benefit from support and balancing. After the consultation, I will create a custom blend for you to use as directed for a set period of time. A follow-up consult can be scheduled to determine whether to shift the focus for the next healing period.

Rachael is a Master-Level Practitioner of Usui Reiki through the Northwest Healing Studio in Seattle. Reiki is a form of energy work that enhances the body’s ability to heal itself through the shifting, clearing, and restoring of energy at the subtle level. Working from the foundation that we are all made of the same universal energy, a Reiki practitioner acts as a clear channel through which pure, restorative, healing energy can flow to where it is needed. Blockages and imbalances created in our karmic and subtle body layers can be cleared, released, rebalanced and restored leading to an overall feeling of wellness and peace, as well as a more balanced approach to life and a renewed sense of connection to universal energy. Healing at this level can lead to more vibrant experiences of clarity, truth, purpose and joy in our daily lives, as well as creating space for profound life changes that need to occur.

What can I expect from a Treetrunkwise Reiki Session?

Reiki energy work can be a deeply relaxing and restorative experience. During the session, you may lie or sit comfortably, using bolsters and blankets to support you and keep you comfortable. By working with the hands above or very lightly upon the body, Rachael connects with your energy field and works to restore balance in areas of deficiency or excess. You may experience moments of warm or cool temperature changes, emotional release, intuitive insights, and deep relaxation. Each session is completely unique. Rachael may also share intuitive messages or information recieved during this work, an added layer of insight that helps facilitate deeper release, understanding, and energetic shifts.

Good to know: After a session, Reiki energy continues to flow, so you may feel tired, “spaced-out”, or meditative, or even energized and inspired after you leave. It is important to give yourself plenty of time for rest and integration after your session. Rest, meditation, baths, gentle yoga and/or walking are all great ways to follow your session.
